Greetings!
I know, can you believe I'm writing again so soon. I thought of a few things to add.
Apparently leaks are ok...and just come with the territory. Oh well. I guess I can live with that since we still need to rain. I just make sure that nothing is under the bed in the area that the water will run to. I keep the path clear. They collect the water in things called catchmans, I think. After this weekend we have full catchmans, so we can feel free to take long showers. :)

I wanted to mention that we do not actually drink the water we collect from the rain...I don't even use it to brush my teeth. We have 5-gallon jugs/containers that we fill up for the week. We, in the apartment, have 2 of these five gallon jugs. To fill them up, depending on where we go, it can cost $1.00 or $2.00 to fill up one container. So, last weekend, Mrs. Buck and I were going to town the store. We took the jugs ourselves. Well, the first time we went with them and the two places to fill up already had 2 containers in each one without anyone standing there. So, we did some other shopping and came back. Well, they were empty. The first place didn't take dollar bills, and they didn't have quarters either. So we walked next door. It was open too, but again didn't take dollar bills. But this time they could make change for dollars. So, here we are putting it all in...mind you, neither one of us have actually done this before. We get it started. The first container fills up and stops when it is supposed to...the second one, however, doesn't stop and it overflows!!!! We got a little wet walking back to the car with them, but we dried pretty quickly.

This past Tuesday, we handed out report cards. What they do here is parents are supposed to come and get them from 6-8 pm. So I think I had all but 5 or 6 parents come. It was a good turnout. I even had some parents surprised with their child's report card compared to last year, in a good way! It was students that were doing well all year, but apparently they didn't so well last year. I'm glad to know that I must be doing something right. One parent was saying that his daughter had told them that she could understand how I taught better...I also wonder if not having an accent while speaking English may help while I am teaching. But either way, I am doing something good to help these students.

I guess that is all for now. :)

Greetings!
Sorry it seems like my posts are not very many. I don't really have lots going on now that school has begun to get into a routine. It is just business as usual really.

Recently we had School Spirit week in which we did different things...Monday was Crazy hat/sock/sunglasses day. Tuesday was Twin Day, Wacky Wednesday, Thursday was Mismatch day, and Friday was Crazy Hair day. It was fun. I went to take pictures on Monday and found out for some reason my camera did not work! I tried charging it...nothing not even the light to show it was charging! I tried charging it in my computer, and still nothing! So, I was able to get a student, with mom's permission of course, to send in her camera that uses a memory card. I slipped the memory card in and took some pictures...so at least I will have some pictures. I've looked this week and purchased a new camera from walmart...nothing too fancy, to hopefully get me through this year. Then when I get to the states I will look at upgrading the camera. So sad this one isn't working...it was purple!!!

I guess it has made it to what Mrs. Buck has been calling the "rainy season" because it has been quite rainy lately. Well, this morning I was talking to my mom on Skype when I saw a puddle of water flowing across my floor. I let my mom go.  It looks like it is coming from the floor somewhere...no leak in the ceiling or from the window that I can tell. It was going towards my bed...that had a printer under it! I did get that luggage under the bed. It only started seeping under the box a little. I got everything pulled out...drying. I guess I will let them know. I guess it also looks like the apartment has a leak in the kitchen. I will be mentioning it to the Bucks. I guess it has been happening this week, but I'm not sure why they haven't told anyone...ummm they need to know so they can get it fixed before it gets worse. They say they don't want to ask or tell them anything because they are worried they are bothering the Bucks. But they are here to help and they can't help if they don't know about it! I guess it is the culture thing because I have no issues telling them when something is wrong in the apartment if needed or asking them stuff. For instance the girl that lived here last year...the refrigerator broke and she didn't tell them because she didn't want them to be bothered. They only found out because they noticed she was putting somethings in the office's fridge! They of course weren't bothered...they couldn't fix the problem if they didn't know about it! Anywho, I guess that is all for now.

In Christ,
Sarah
